Every ear for my daughter’s birthday, I make her something special that I can take up to her school at lunch and let her share with her friends. This time around she requested a cookie cake. Okay all, this is going to be my last birthday cake inspired recipe for the week! This birthday bonanza was all in honor of my little girl's birthday, which officially kicks off birthday season for my family. Almost ALL of our close family has birthday's in Spring and early Summer months. Now that the excitement is starting to wane from my mini me turning 7, I can get back to some bit of normalcy. 'Drunken' Birthday Cake Gummy Bears

My birthday is coming up in a week, and so of course... this just had to happen.

I've been chewing on the idea of soaking some more gummy bears, since last time was rather well enjoyed by all. With my birthday just around the corner, I wanted to change it up a bit and make things a bit more festive. And what says birthday better than cake?

One of my most favorite cakes is funfetti or confetti cake; white cake with plenty of rainbow colored sprinkles. So, that's sort of where the idea of this started to come together. What could I possibly soak rainbow gummy bears in that would be birthday-esque?...
