The big football game of the year is coming up and being a native Texan, I couldn't be more excited for it. Every year, as you know, I'm always busy with nosh worthy big game style tailgating and home gating bites. This year won't be any different! In fact, it may only be amped up if my favorite team ends up playing.

These Skinny Chipotle Pepperoni Pinwheels are two of my most favorite things fused together to make one amazing finger food mash-up that's perfectly dipable and dunkable as a party appetizer or big game spread. Oh, and that Creamy Jalapeño Dip? Let's just say that's the stuff dreams are made of, my friend. I've made a similar dip before, but this one has a few minor changes to make it more of a thicker dip rather than a thinner dressing...

Baked Egg & Avocado Bowls

January 2, 2017 Amanda Plott

Drool.

This is an oldie, but a goodie. I originally made these Baked Egg & Avocado Bowls back in 2013! So, to say that the photos needed some updating and the post needed a face-lift would be a bit of an understatement.

I had been wanting to share this recipe ever since I started this blog a whole 5 months before it actually made it into fruition. (That was now nearly 4 years ago! Can you believe it?!) It's super easy, healthy, and yes... tastes every bit amazing as it looks.

Who can say no to a warmed avocado with baked eggs, cheese, and bacon?

Not this girl.

I couldn't 4 years ago, and I still can't today!...

Skinny Honey Roasted Almonds

December 27, 2016 Amanda Plott

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Whole Earth Sweetener Co. All opinions are 100% mine.

Who needs scented candles around the holidays when all you have to do is roast some almonds?! These Skinny Honey Roasted Almonds are amazing! I can't tell you all how great my house smells right now. Even my 6 year old (who doesn't care for almonds) ran into the kitchen to ask me if she could have some of whatever it was I was cooking. And trust me when I say that they taste every bit as good as they smell!

I love almonds for so many reasons, and I've always got some tucked away in my pantry for quick and easy snacking. Almonds carry a massive amount of nutrients: fiber, protein, healthy fats, and vitamin E to name a few. They are completely loaded with antioxidants and can even help control blood sugar. It helps too that they are great for helping to lose weight too...

Detox 'Spa' Water

December 26, 2016 Amanda Plott
spa-water4.jpg

I've got to be honest, I feel rather toxic after the last month of constant illness and being on and off an array of medications and antibiotics. My body needs a little bit of rest and recuperation, so I'm going to give it all the help that I can get!

I should start off by saying that I am not a fan of cucumbers. I love pickles, and hate hate hate cucumbers. The taste, smell, texture... everything. But, like I said... I'm determined to give my aching body some much needed love.

I was rather surprised and delighted to find that after the lemon and mint, I didn't really taste the cucumber much... if at all!...

It's that crazy time of year when it just doesn't seem like there's enough hours in the day! I'm busy shopping, wrapping, decorating, and getting everything in order for Christmas and New Years. Come on 2017. That being said, I woke up this morning and decided to get this Healthy Gingerbread Loaf whipped up and ready for the influx of company to enjoy.

If you love pumpkin bread and you love gingerbread cookies, then you are going to adore this Healthy Gingerbread Loaf! It's got just enough gingery spice and sweetness to blend perfectly together. One of my favorite things about this bread is that it's great for a holiday breakfast, gifting, or just having around to snack on. Plus, you can make it a few days in advance!...
